Rebecca Barnes is a writer from Colorado, where she began her career writing news about the ravages of avalanches, mountain lions, and school boards. She has traveled extensively and written for nonprofits, magazines, and websites about life in an Afghanistan refugee camp, in an Ethiopian leprosy hospital, and on the beach in Progreso, Mexico. She has been published in Christianity Today, and Outreach Magazine, and has been a regular columnist for Children’s Ministry Magazine, and editor for ChurchCentral.com, and a contributing writer for Retail Customer Experience and Self-Service World. She has worked as an ESL and English teacher, as a curriculum developer, and a preschool director for a large kids ministry. She has written memoirs about fostering a child, teaching language learners, and holding onto faith in God.
